Wait, Solo exhibition of Artist, Wilson Oryema

The initial idea for Wait spawned from documenting the various ways people put the “trash” from their homes on the street.

Exploring that interest further, the project evolved into a larger examination on the ever increasing consumption habits of collective society and how objects often disregarded can, in fact, be repurposed. As a result, with a focus on trash and recycling, the exhibition will aim to juxtapose the themes of “consumption” and “repurposing”.

This will be explored through various mediums including film, image, sculpture, and more.
